ABOUT THE 24 HOUR ROW
This year is our third annual 24 Hour Row for mental health to be held on 22-23 August.
WHY GET INVOLVED?
More than ever we need to be raising awareness for mental health and the best way to do that is with a goal, through physical activity and staying connected with your community. We’d love you and your club to come on board to not only raise funds for our incredible mental health charities Gotcha4Life and One Eighty, but also keep your body and mind, and those of your family and friends in check.
The 24 Hour Row is also a great way to keep your crews fit and healthy over the winter months.
HOW IT WORKS
From Midday on 22 August we start the ergs (Concept 2 rowing machines) and keep them going for 24 hours continuously. We encourage every participant to take on and challenge themselves to a one-hour block row to achieve the best distance they can and contribute towards our final distance. It will also become club vs. club and state vs. state.
Each surf club location registered will join the Facebook live stream via a Zoom link so we can all follow the progress throughout the 24 hour period and cheer on the rowers. The live stream will be broadcast from our 24 Hour Row Facebook page here.
